In the middle of a crazy couple of weeks here at the beginning of school, my daughter has been trying Bausch + Lomb Soflens disposable contact lenses. I asked her to write out a few pros and cons for me which follow:
Good:
- I don't get headaches
- They don't fall out.
- I look nicer.
Bad:
- They itch.
- They are impossible to put in.
Actually, my daughter only needs a contact for one eye and she seemed to get it at first so I'm not sure why she can't get them in now. We need to trouble shoot that. Her daddy was the one to help her when she first struggled since he wears contacts and I don't and everything seemed okay. But, as of today, I need to find out why it isn't.
I would also like to know what causes a contact to itch - perhaps dirt from her finger if she can't get it in and keeps trying over and over. She had adorable purple glasses but she's gotten so used to not wearing them that she basically wears neither glasses or the contact now which isn't good either.
I like the daily lens since they are disposable and easy for teens. I hope we can work through the difficulty because you can see her pretty face so much clearer than hiding behind those thick purple glasses.
Do you wear contacts? What has your experience been?
“I wrote this review while participating in a Test Drive by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Bausch + Lomb and received Soflens daily disposables to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
I have these contact lenses that I bought almost a year ago. They are the disposable ones you can wear like 5 times or something like that.
They make my eyes itch and when I'm driving my vision blurs. I have gone back to the optometrist a couple of times. I just wasted my money. Anywo, the contacts are colored so its not like I needed them anyway.

Holy yucky spam comments! I got contacts when I was around your daughter's age. It does take some practice, so I hope she sticks with it. Sometimes when the lenses are super thin (not sure about hers, mine are not dailies), they can fold over on themselves and just be more difficult to put in. As for the itching, I would try a different contact solution. It could be the solution she is using or maybe dry eye. I use opti-free replenish and that is supposed to help with dry/sensitive eyes. Look around though. There are lots more out than there were before. Good luck!

I have mild dry eye...I need lenses that support that and keep my eyes moist. i like the complete brand eye cleaner, too.
